Accommodation
We make sure that every boy that comes to stay at Camp Green Lake is treated equally and that there is no racism. We don’t believe in discriminating kids in this camp. If you don't feel accepted in the outside world then come and stay at Camp Green Lake. There is also no sense of who is poor or who is rich because everyone has to wear the same clothes. As you can see in the photo everyone apart from the counsellors are required to wear orange clothing. It is compulsory for everyone to wear orange clothing so when you’re in the outback we can see you clearly. Everyone is divided into groups which you will stay in for your whole stay. Each group consisting of around 10 people stay in the same tent and also work together so you will always be around with your friends. Te tent that you are designated to you is until the end of your stay unless if a problem occurs. You will always be with the same counselor so that you can speak with him if you ever need to seek personal advice. You can always change groups if you don't feel accepted into the group that you have been chosen to go into. At Camp Green Lake we will supply with all your needs like clothes, beds, food etc. You will be supplied with orange clothing a bed and a cupboard to put the things that you have brought on your arrival. The only thing that most people won't like is that water is limited so you will need to use your share of water wisely. We don’t recommend using soap because it takes up too much water and water is expensive in the middle of the outback.
